Citizen Science in The LLRI 2021/2022
Report coming soon...
In 2020 the LLRI was successful in receiving a Citizen Science Grant from the Queensland Government where we were able to purchase more camera traps and species identification guides. This grant allowed for the promotion of our iNaturalist group where we were successful in increasing the number of citizen scientists documenting species across the LLR from 13 to 45. We increased the number of observations by 1993 between January 2021 until June 2022.
Vertebrate Fauna Monitoring Project
For pest fauna control to be effective it has to be conducted on a wide scale. To help us relieve the pressure on our native species in the Little Liverpool Range (LLR) we would like you to help us develop a larger picture of where pest fauna are living in the LLR. Collecting this important data will help us better manage the pest species who are having a large impact in the LLR.
Unsure on how to monitor these species effectively? Don't worry we have you covered! We have put together step by step guidelines to ensure we are monitoring species strategically and effectively.
